By July, it feels like our summer wardrobe are at full capacity – and whilst ‘summer sale bargains’ can feel tempting, it’s often more of the same and will have a life-expectancy of a few short weeks until autumn rolls around.
That’s not our kind of bargain! The great thing about Scandi styling is the art of layering (you can read our full Scandi Fashion Guide here) – making the pieces that you can pick up in our sale flexible enough to wear as the weather cools – whether it’s adding a Rosemunde cami underneath, or a silk bomber on top – here are our picks from the sales rail that will last longer than your tan…
This flattering shift dress from Baum und Pferdgarten is great for summer workwear with sandals, yet will work just as well come autumn layered under a black blazer with tights and heels.
Not only is this Jacomina blouse from Baum und Pferdgarten going to see you through to autumn, with its thicker jersey knit and 3/4 sleeves – it’s also a great ‘dress up/dress down’ option. Making it even more versatile. It will look great with smart cigarette pants for the office and equally great with dark denim and boots at the weekend. Double win!
This Sofia jacket from Vilagallo is a gorgeous cotton weave stripe. It will work brilliantly come autumn with fine knits and denims, or over long-sleeve dresses when you just need that ‘extra layer’ without the bulk.
When it’s still too mild for wool and cashmere – these Mondi knit jumpers from 2ND DAY are great to get you through that ‘change in seasons’ gap in your wardrobe. They’re a chunky cotton mix with cabling detail on the arm. Perfect off-duty chic.
Whilst we’ve been wearing these lightweight silk trousers from Rosemunde all summer with their gorgeous camis, we’ll also be wearing them straight through into winter, dressed up with sparkly heels and a cashmere knit – perfect for party season.
We have a range of shirt dresses in the sale (this one is the Steam dress from MbyM) – they are great for wearing now bare-legged with wedges or sandals and then layered up, slightly open, over a vest – or even over a fine knit poloneck and tights come winter. An all-year round wear!
