Festival Fashion
Wherever you're headed this summer, be it the classic UK field festivals such as V Festival, Isle of Wight or Glastonbury, or the star-studded Sonus Festival in Croatia or Primavera Sound in Barcelona - fashion always takes centre stage. You only need to look at Pinterest to discover there is more to festival fashion that just flower crowns and fringed jackets (although that is a classic festival look we love here at Five Six Blue HQ). Think urban gypsy, boho chic, sci-fi pop and double-denim. Pinterest and the fashion blogs are buzzing with festival-worthy fashion inspiration.
The sunny californian climate and this years Coachella festival certainly dominated the fashion forums in April. We're seeing a lot of denim cut-offs, longer skirt lengths and plenty of bold prints. Getting excited? Us too, and we can't wait to show off some essential festival pieces from the Five Six Blue collection:
Duffy knitwear. Yes, we said knitwear! Although we're hoping for glorious sunshine this summer, the UK field festivals can be hit and miss with the weather. Better to be safe than sorry with some luxurious knitwear and linens, and Duffy offers some stylish summer styles.
These tailored Svala shorts from Ichi have festival written all over them. Team with a long cardigan or leather jacker for that rock-chick vibe.
Although short tank-tops and bodycon is in this summer, the maxi dress is a summer essential and capable of rocking any festival look. Accessorise to your hearts content and pair with a leather jacket to complete the look.
Another floral-print festival favourite from the Five Six Blue Collection is the stunning top and trouser duo from Danish brand Minimum DK. We like the print so much we used it on our homepage!
